Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum of Contemporary Art
The Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum of Contemporary Art Kinare will be closed for renovations beginning December 7th, 2020 in preparation for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2021. All facilities inside will be closed EXCEPT for the Akashinoyu Public Bath. Please refer to the official website for information on the reopening.
The Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum of Contemporary Art Kinare was opened in 2003 during the 2nd Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale. In 2012 the museum was renovated and the second floor became the contemporary art museum. There are artworks both inside and outside that are sure to delight adults and children of all ages.
The second floor of the museum contains a gift shop with locally made souvenirs and original designs.
