Throughout the city and even in the mountains there are festival plazas known as “hiroba.” You can eat and play here, and each one offers a unique experience distinctive to Snow Country Tokamachi!

The snow artworks handmade by Tokamachi residents are the heart of the snow festival. Each neighborhood carefully plans and then creates their artwork entirely from snow!
